Clear Answers Before You Decide

Frequently Asked Questions

Start with the question closest to where you are now. If you are still unsure, send a few photos and we will point you to the right next step.

Getting Started

You do not need to identify or value everything before contacting us.

Can I send photos for a first look?
Yes. Send a few clear photos on WhatsApp and we will tell you whether the items look suitable and what the best next step is. This is the quickest way to check before posting anything.
Do I need to know exactly what I have?
No. A rough description and a few photos are enough to begin. Include any names, hallmarks, paperwork, boxes, or history you already know, but do not worry if you have none of those details.
Is there a minimum value for items?
There is no strict minimum, but items need some collectable or precious-metal value. If you are unsure, send a photo on WhatsApp before posting anything.
Do you buy damaged or broken items?
Yes. Broken jewellery, scrap gold, damaged silver, and non-working watches can still have value. Send photos first and include any loose parts, boxes, or paperwork you still have.

Postage & Safety

Please wait for our instructions before sending any valuables.

How do I arrange free Royal Mail postage?
Request it on our postage page with your contact details, address, and a short description of the items. We usually review the request within 24 hours. If posting is suitable, we arrange collection or Post Office drop-off and send the instructions you need.
Can Royal Mail collect my parcel?
Yes. Royal Mail can collect from your address and bring the postage label. If you prefer, you can take the parcel to a Post Office instead.
Do I need a printer?
No. Royal Mail brings the label for collection. For Post Office drop-off, we email you a QR code that the Post Office uses to print the label.
Do you provide a box or packing materials?
Not currently. Use your own sturdy box or padded envelope and pack the items so they cannot move around. Reusing a clean box in good condition is encouraged. Contact us before sending anything delicate or difficult to pack.
Are my items covered during transit?
We confirm the Royal Mail route and the available cover before you send anything. Tell us if you think the parcel may need additional cover because of its likely value or contents, and wait for our instructions before posting.
What if my items are too large, delicate, or valuable to post?
Contact us before sending anything. We can discuss appointments, larger collection visits, and the safest practical route for the items.

Valuation & Payment

You receive an offer and remain free to accept or decline it.

How do you work out the offer?
It depends on the item. We consider details such as material, weight, purity, maker, age, condition, originality, rarity, and current demand. Precious-metal items are checked against current buying rates, while collectable items are considered against relevant comparable sales.
How long does the assessment take?
Once we receive your items, we usually assess them and reply within 24 hours. Larger collections may take a little longer, and we will keep you updated.
How long is an offer valid?
Our offers are usually held for 7 days unless we tell you otherwise at the time.
How do I get paid?
Once you accept our offer, we arrange payment by BACS or bank transfer. We aim to handle this the same day during business hours. Cash in person can be arranged in limited cases.
What happens if I decline the offer?
There is no obligation to sell. We return every item by Royal Mail at our expense.

Location & Visits

Local appointments and larger collection visits are arranged in advance.

What areas do you cover?
We are based in Crumlin, Northern Ireland, and handle postal selling across the UK. If you are unsure whether your items are suitable, contact us first and we will guide you.
Can you visit for a larger collection or estate?
Yes, where the collection is a suitable fit. Send a rough description and a few overview photos first. We will discuss the most practical next step with you.
Do I need ID to sell items in person?
Yes. If you are selling in person, we may ask for ID and provide a receipt.

Still Have a Question?

Send photos or describe what you have. We usually reply within 24 hours and there is no obligation to continue.
